Getting Ready for WWII Parade



Massive rehearsals were held yesterday in the suburbs of Moscow (Russia) as part of the preparation for the 9th of May which is a day when they celebrate the WWII victory in Russia.

As news agencies note, this is going to be the first time in 18 years when the parade on Red Square will feature tanks and nuclear missiles as well as fighters and elite troops.

Chinese Lantern Festival



The Lantern Festival is also known as the Little New Year since it marks the end of the series of celebrations starting with the Chinese New Year. In ancient times, the lanterns were fairly simple, for only the emperor and noblemen had large ornate ones.Nowadays, lanterns have been embellished with many complex designs as can be seen from the pictures below.
